TURKS AND CAICOS
Amanyara, Turks and Caicos
The days when traveling was easy… or easier. Right before the lockdown in March 2020, we went to Turks and Caicos for the day, one of the perks when fiancé soon to be hubby has a thang or two for flying.
Before you imagine a jetsetter with oversized sunnies with a linen suit… this is what it looks like when you are constantly on the go balancing work, friends and family. I got out of work late the night before, finishing a beautiful balayage for my client so I didn’t have time to mask or do any of my favorite skincare routines, but girl can multi-task…
EYE PATCHES:
Yep, eye patches and lip mask while being the best co-pilot.
The eye patches are from Peter Thomas Roth these Lift & Firm Hydra-Gel Eye Patches are great for dark circles and have a nice firming effect. I wouldn’t recommend these necessarily if your primary concern is puffiness – for that, I always use recommend eye patches with caffeine or the good old trick many make-up artists use – Preparation H crème. Yes, that one!
LIP MASK:
The lip mask is from KNC beauty. I got it from one of my favorite beauty salons in Miami - Gee Beauty. Insider tip: Nathalie Gee is an eyebrow artist who can transform and/or fix any ‘brow-mergency.’ I usually don’t lip mask but wanted to try it, and I liked the results. It’s infused with natural collagen; it hydrates and plumps your lips. Definitely takes a little getting used to, but it’s great before an event or if you simply need a hydration boost for your lips.
THINGS TO DO:
We arrived at the Amanyara Resort ready to lunch and layout by the beach. The hotel is a dream, the white beach and the turquoise water is truly mesmerizing. I can’t wait to go back and spend a few days next time. Would love to hear your recommendations… Please DM with any insider tips.
We lunched at The Beach Club, the lunch was delicious but what I remember the most is the Nutella crepe. OMG… what a treat! It was worth every calorie.
After lunch, we just lounged at the beach and relaxed before taking off again for Miami. The only thing I missed on this trip was my visor from De la heart. I usually take it with me everywhere.
QUICK HAIR TIPS:
I didn’t do a whole lot since it was such a quick trip and we were mainly at the beach, but I used Thirsty Girl spray from IGK to keep my hair hydrated, it also protects your hair from the sun. Fun fact: coconut oil is a natural sunscreen. I recommend focusing on your ends, so you don’t have product build up in your roots.
